  • 1 Muddler (Alternatively : The back of a wooden spoon)

  • 3 medium sized strawberries
  • 5 Fresh Mint leaves
  • 1 tbsp of Lime Juice (from freshly squeezed lime)
  • 3/4 cup of Sprite (8oz)

Instructions

Preparing the ingredients for Virgin Strawberry Mojito

  • Destem the strawberries
  • Use fresh mint leaves instead of dried ones
  • Take a fresh lime and squeeze the juice out.
  • Keep the Sprite in the fridge before using it for a more chilled drink.

Step-by-Step Instructions for Virgin Strawberry Mojito

  • First, de-stem the strawberries
  • Once de-stemmed, wash the strawberries and start cutting them.
  • If the strawberries are small, cut them into half, otherwise cut the bigger ones into quarters.
  • Put the cut strawberries and blueberries (optional) at the bottom of the glass (or a pitcher/jug).
  • Add in the fresh mint leaves.
  • Next, use the muddler (or the back of a spoon if you don't have a muddler) and gently start crushing the berries and mint leaves by pressing and twisting.
  • Add Lime juice
  • If you are preparing the virgin strawberry mojito drink in a glass, add the chilled sprite followed by crushed ice when serving.
  • Garnish with extra mint leaves and strawberries or even a fresh slice of lime
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

  • The muddling process helps to release the flavor of the strawberries and mint.
  • Garnishing the final product makes the drink look fresh and very appetizing.
  • If you would like to make the virgin strawberry mojito drink in a bigger batch, use the pitcher/jug instead of a glass.
  • Add the ice in the glass instead of the pitcher when serving to avoid diluting the entire drink. Then, pour the mixture prepared in the pitcher into the glass.
